Space Sarcophagus: Realizing death in the void of space

Space Sarcophagus: Realizing death in the void of space

Space Sarcophagus is a game about realizing death in the void of space. The characters become trapped in a spaceship adrift after a system malfunction, and gradually realize they have no escape; the shuttle will become their Sarcophagus. In this game, there is no way to escape the setting and the level of conflict is low. Space Sarcophagus does not revolve around solving problems or playing dramatic scenes, but rather around the tense atmosphere in the shuttle as the characters submit to their fate.

Genre: Contemporary tragedy
Trigger warnings: Relatives' deaths, close to death experience, emotional breakups
Playing style: Realist
Game language: Greek (you can still participate in this game without knowing Greek but the main language will be the native)

Adaption and facilitation: by Polynikis Papoulias for the Chaniartoon 7

Nordic LARP:
Nordic LARPs refer to a genre of live action role-playing (LARP) games that have their roots in the countries of Northern Europe. They are known for their deep character immersion and focus on the internal experience of characters. These games often tackle strong themes and engage with serious social issues. The goal is the experience, understanding, and empathy of the participants.

Disclaimer:
If you have never participated in a LARP before, do not worry. No previous experience or knowledge is required. However, please note that this game may evoke strong emotions and issues. You should be prepared to face these challenges with respect and an open mind. Respect for your fellow players and a commitment to a safe environment are necessary for the smooth running of the event. Facilitation will be in Greek.

*Participation in all workshops is free. Instead of a fee, you can donate stationery (pencils, erasers, sharpeners, crayons, drawing blocks, etc.), which will be donated to the children of the Association of Voluntary Offering and Support “Orizondas”.
