The five-part series by Thanasis Petrou —based on extensive bibliographic research and documentation—begins with a relatively unknown historical event from World War I and spans the period from the Greek interwar period to the occupation of Greece by the Axis powers. Through the turbulent lives of the protagonists, historical events, political disputes, national crises, personal and collective dramas, dilemmas, and decisions that were by no means easy are presented.
