← People through the yearsLouise Truc

Louise Truc is from France and moved to Greece in 2018. In early 2021, she co-founded Lalava, a collective workshop and community space. Through her fanzines, she explores themes of language, translation, politics, sexuality, and feelings of belonging or rejection, often with a playful or erotic tone. Her book The Girl-Who-Fucks-Mountains is an erotic philosophical tale tracing the initiatory journey of a giant woman, inspired by the etymology of her surname. Her series The Tongue illustrates the experience of learning a new language, both a wall and a door. Her latest project, Sweaty Diary, is a series of autofictional stories situated between diary and tale, that reflects on space and the ways we inhabit it and exploring the strange agreements we make with the places we live in.
