The treasure of the Labyrinth

Theatre Mikis Theodorakis

As part of the Chaniartoon 2025 festival, the graphic novel The Treasure of the Labyrinth, published by Mikros Iros, will be presented in the form of a workshop, where readers will have the opportunity to engage with the work through discussion, as well as by designing characters, landscapes, or even entire pages of the comic.

The graphic novel The Treasure of the Labyrinth begins with the favorite neighborhood park of a group of children in danger of being turned into a shopping mall. The children find a broken vase in the park, which they discover was made by a famous potter during the Occupation and is linked to the legend of a lost treasure. Thus begins a struggle to preserve the park and its historical value.

This is a comic book that addresses both the environmental crisis and the frightening advance of gentrification, as well as the struggle to preserve green spaces in our cities. A colorful graphic novel that will appeal to young and old alike!

The event will be attended by the creators of the graphic novel, screenwriter Dimitris Grammenos and designers Giorgos Papaeliou and Nikolas Stefadouros. They will all contribute creatively and guide young and old alike in the search for the Treasure of the Labyrinth!

Silvia Ziche's Art Workshop: Why I like to tell stories through drawings

Silvia Ziche's Art Workshop: Why I like to tell stories through drawings

In this interactive workshop, acclaimed Italian creator Silvia Ziche shares how her stories are born from everyday observation—watching people on the street, on the subway, on the train, and capturing the spontaneity of childhood.
Participants will discover how even the simplest sketch can be transformed into a story full of irony, tenderness, or poetry—and often all of these things at once. Ziche will offer a personal look at her creative process and show how drawing becomes a universal language of storytelling that connects us all.

Όλα τα εργαστήρια είναι με δωρεάν συμμετοχή, με την εθελοντική προσφορά γραφικής ύλης η οποία θα δοθεί για τη στήριξη των αναγκών του Συλλόγου «Ορίζοντας».

Monster Jam Zine-Narration through weird creatures

with Dimitris Avramopoulos

Using imagination as our vehicle, we see how
we can connect images and meanings through monster design. A workshop for adults, children, and especially for those who have lost faith in their artistic abilities. Everyone can draw and tell a story; all you need is imagination.

At the end of the workshop, we will have created a mini comic book with our characters.

All workshops are free to attend, with voluntary donations of stationery to support the needs of the Horizon Association.
